Films I'm Looking Forward To March
A new month means a whole new load of cinematic releases, so if you find yourself wanting to go to the cinema, search no further for some movie suggestions:
Release Date: March 2nd
An adorable animated movie with a star studded cast, Monster Family shows the life of a down-on-their-luck family as they plan a fun night out, livened up when they each get cursed by a witch, turning them all into monsters. With a cast featuring names such as Emma Watson, Catherine Tate, Nick Frost and Jason Isaacs, it's guaranteed to be a fun film for all the family to enjoy.
Unsane
Release Date: 23rd March
Unsane follows the story of Sawyer Valentini, played by Claire Foy, in her move from Boston to Pennsylvania to escape her stalker - seeking therapy to help get over the ordeal, she accidentally checks herself into a mental institution in which she is confronted by her Boston past... or is she? Directed by Steven Sodernbergh, this is his first try at the horror genre, after previously directing films such as Magic Mike, Logan Luck and the Oceans trilogy, he has taken an interesting approach to the film by shooting the whole thing using an iPhone camera - something I doubt would be picked up on unless you already knew due to the slick quality he's managed to achieve.
Proud Mary
Release Date: 23rd March
Starring Taraji P Henderson, who has featured previously in films such as Hidden Figures, things s film details the life of a skilled hit woman working for a Boston crime family, whose career takes a dramatic turn after a job goes detrimentally wrong. Directed by Babak Najaifi, whose previous works include London Has Fallen, it seems like a good shout for anyone whose looking for a strong action film.
Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House
Release Date: 23rd March
This biopic thriller follows three journalists - Mark Felt (played by Liam Neeson), Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein as under the pysudonym "Deep Throat" as they work to undercover government secrets; now known as the Watergate Scandal. Written and directed by journalist-gone-filmmaker Peter Landsmen, I think this film will be an interesting way to bring this scandal to the newer generations that may have little knowledge this historical moment, as well as 100% counting as a level politics revision, not procrastination, because we studied it that one time.
Evidently the 23rd March is gonna be a great day for films; if you do see any of these films, let me know what you thought of them, and have a great March!
Best Wishes
